About Dr. Bianca Chin

Dr. Chin’s personal dedication to advanced breast reconstruction has helped her become one of the leading providers of flap-based breast reconstruction and microsurgical techniques in the state. She is the Division Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Christ Hospital health system. Her areas of special interest include state-of-the-art breast cancer reconstructive surgery using both the patient’s own tissue, implants and nipple sparing techniques and also aesthetic breast and body procedures.

Dr. Chin's Story

Dr. Chin is a board certified female plastic and reconstructive microsurgeon. She relocated from Philadelphia to Cincinnati in 2015 after completing her training at the University of Pennsylvania. She is the Division Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Christ Hospital health system. 

Dr. Chin was born in Jamaica. Her outstanding academic achievements earned her admission to medical school at age 17 at the University of the West Indies on a full academic scholarship. She received numerous prestigious awards during her medical school training. 

Dr. Chin knew she wanted to be a surgeon early in her medical school career, and after completing medical school, she relocated to Philadelphia, where she completed training in general surgery followed by plastic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the highest ranked plastic surgery programs in the country. 

Her training included work at the prestigious Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she trained and worked alongside some of the most distinguished plastic surgeons in the world. 

During her residency, Dr. Chin completed a 2-year research fellowship studying Craniofacial biology and regenerative wound healing where she published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals and presented her work nationally and internationally. She was named Young Investigator of the Wound Healing Society in 2010. 

Dr. Chin brings the most advanced reconstructive and aesthetic surgery techniques in plastic surgery to the patients of Cincinnati and surrounding areas. Her areas of special interest include state of the art breast cancer reconstructive surgery using both the patient’s own tissue, implants and nipple sparing techniques and also aesthetic breast and body procedures.
